Lets Dive Deeper!

"When 'Scandie Rock' became a thing in the latter half of the 80s I embraced it with open arms, that heady combination of muscle and melody proving to be just too good to resist and a much classier (to these ears at any rate) alternative to the seemingly never ending flood of acts from across the pond.

Treat were undoubtedly the trendsetters that everyone else looked to follow, and despite a two decade hiatus starting when Grunge hit, are still making fantastic records to this day! But for me, 'Dreamhunter', their third album, was really where it all started. I remember reading about them in Kerrang! and bugging the counter staff at my local vinyl emporium to get me a copy as soon as, which in all fairness, they did. My jaw hit the floor when I first spun it later that evening - a frustrating afternoon in the office preventing me from devouring it sooner - and it still gets a regular outing to this very day (like now as I type).

I could have gone with any track to be honest as they're all superb, but this one opens the album and sets the scene perfectly. And having resigned myself to never catching them live, I was in the front row (well, nearly) at Firefest when they launched their comeback! It's been my mission to convert as many to the cause ever since... just ask Pete!"
