"As soon as this opening track kicked in, I was hooked"

Dave

Lets Dive Deeper!

"There was a time in the pre-internet days of the mid 90's when I almost gave up on music altogether, grunge it seemed had won the day. Indeed, I think there was a period of about three months where I didn't listen to a thing at all, which was completely unprecedented. Then, sitting with a beer in the front room of an old friend's place one evening  - the kids were in bed, and the girls were at work - he said, 'You've gotta hear this!' 'This' it turned out, was 'Without Remorse, ' the sophomore album from Swedish band Nation. As soon as this opening track kicked in, I was hooked, my love of all things rock and metal once again restored as the superlative melodies and neo-classical hooks burned their way indelibly into my brain! Released at exactly the wrong time - five years either way and it would have stood a fighting chance - it's one of those criminally overlooked releases that should have sold by the truck load. Still one of my go to albums 30 years later!"
