"my curiosity and expectations reaching fever pitch"

Dave

Lets Dive Deeper!

"I was too young to go to the Deep Purple party first time around, the last incarnation finally imploding in the mid 70s before I'd even reached my teens. However, the best part of a decade later, and I was fully up to speed, my curiosity and expectations reaching fever pitch when the classic Mk II reunion was announced. I bought this marvellous album (on vinyl) on the day of release, then suffered a frustratingly long wait along with everybody else for them to finally bring it to UK audiences at Knebworth the following year. Perhaps the coldest, wettest, late June day it's ever been my (mis)fortune to endure... but hey, I finally got to see Messrs. Gillan and Blackmore on the same stage (even if the Scorps were band of the day)  so I was one happy bunny!"
