"The pressure had been building for some time, but 1986 was when Bon Jovi and the 'Slippery When Wet' led the hard rock revolution that finally exploded all over MTV, dragging the world kicking and screaming along behind in its wake. However, as more of a bluesy hard rock fan back then - still am to be honest - my album of the year came along right on the cusp when Tesla released their awesome debut 'Mechanical Resonance'. 'Modern Day Cowboy' was my first introduction to the band, and I was hooked - saw them (twice) the following year when they smashed it out of the park as support to Def Leppard on the 'Hysteria' tour. Absolutely unforgettable..."
