Lets Dive Deeper!

"It’s funny to think that throughout the years, listening to music, a journey is formed. Some roads are easy to travel, others not so. One band that used to fall into that latter category for me was Dire Straits. The British Rock band, led by the renowned guitarist Mark Knopfler, used to drive me mad, I couldn’t stand them! But after being around my friend, who was a massive fan, I began to get more of an appreciation for them.

One day, he put on their Love Over Gold album, and the track Industrial Disease came on. At the time, I remember thinking it was a funny song with a great tune attached, but as the years have passed, I now love the very clever social commentary that was woven throughout. The tune is still catchy as hell, and with its Progressive Rock elements, it was probably one of the first of that genre I can genuinely remember listening to.

I still have a love/hate relationship with the band, but now the barometer is much more in the love section."
