After the release of her highest charting album to date last year Elles Bailey is back with brand new album Can’t Take My Story Away, which comes January 16th on Cooking Vinyl and Outlaw Music. Alongside the announcement Elles releases the record’s first cut with ‘Growing Roots’ and announces a run of 2026 UK and EU dates, including London’s Islington Assembly Hall on March 19th. After their hugely successful ‘Classic Tales Of Yes’ UK Tour in 2024, Progressive Rock legends, YES, return to the UK once more for a 9-date trek across the country starting on 22nd April at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow and ending with a two-night run at the prestigious Palladium in London on 3rd and 4th May.

The German hard rock legends MAD MAX are gearing up for an exciting run of releases leading into their 45th anniversary in 2026. Fans won’t have to wait long: on November 28th, 2025, the band will re-release their very first recordings— the debut EP In Concert (1981) and the groundbreaking full-length Heavy Metal (1982). Both titles have been remastered by Rolf Munkes (Crematory, etc.) and will be available on CD, LP, and digital.

I thought my days of outdoor gigs were largely behind me – hey, I was there for every freezing cold, sopping wet minute of the Deep Purple reunion show at Knebworth in June 1985! – but when the opportunity to see one of the hottest “new” Melodic Rock acts currently doing the rounds play their final gig of the summer arose, it was too good a chance to miss.

It’s been a few years since I saw FM in Bristol, and they’ve shifted sideways from playing on a boat (Thekla) to one of the most loved smallish venues in the UK, which is never a bad thing. The Fleece & Firkin may have a few poles that get in your way but also hold up the roof, but it’s usually a great place to watch a band, so I’m looking forward to this one.

The second edition of the festival organized by Wind Up Productions and Planet AOR took place in late July in Malmö, Sweden, reaffirming the city as the true Capital of AOR.
