Legendary producer/songwriter/ guitarist Todd Rundgren is expanding his 2026 Damned If I Do Tour with a major slate of newly added dates! This new leg of the tour includes new locations in the US, as well as extending the tour to the UK and the EU!

This tour promises to include plenty of fan favourite songs. Says Todd, “It’s always a challenge for me because my audience is so diverse, I never know what they’re in the mood for. I want to make sure we have all the musical ammunition we need to satisfy the spectrum.”

Fireworks spoke to Todd who expanded on this.

“The tour includes coming back to the UK which we are really happy about. I see my concerts as shows and so will often augment them with video and special lighting. However, you don’t know that everyone in the audience is coming to see what you are doing.

It is a special challenge for me as I have a very polyglot audience. I have only had sporadic hits, so people may come to see those; then there are the more obscure songs that people who have followed my career may like to see. Then there are Utopia fans who want to hear a lot of guitar playing and people who still have a taste for Prog Rock. I also have a lot of young fans – second generation fans who grew up listening to the music because their parents did; there are also people who have grown up with the phenomenon of the internet and gone exploring for things that they find interesting. Also, I’ve worked with a lot of younger artists - remixes for Tame Impala and performances with The Lemon Twigs.

I’m trying to craft a show that is a bit more flexible that touches base with everybody – and also try and be adaptable and possibly, even on a nightly basis, change the show based on how the crowd is feeling. We are also going to do an acoustic subset as part of the show as a way to play material that people are familiar with but in a different way.”
