PETERIFIED release new single and video “Stole My Heart Away”

With “Stole My Heart Away”, Swedish rockers Peterified capture the very essence of young, innocent love. Today, September 1st, the band’s second single is an emotional rush that takes listeners back to those unforgettable moments when feelings hit like a tidal wave and words suddenly fail.

“It’s when your emotions are so overwhelming that you’re tongue-tied,” explains frontman Peter Johansson. “You try to look calm and collected in front of the person you’ve fallen for, but instead you’re nervous, insecure, and completely out of your depth.”

The song is a heartfelt anthem to all those ‘firsts’, the racing heartbeat, the wavering confidence, and the undeniable truth of falling head over heels. With its big guitars, soaring melodies, and vulnerable lyrics, “Stole My Heart Away” blends the power of arena rock with the intimacy of personal storytelling. The single artwork, designed by Johansson together with Oz Hawe Petersson, mirrors this intensity and innocence.

Behind Peterified stands a band built on lifelong friendship and passion. Founded by singer-songwriter Peter Johansson (formerly of Magasin 99 and Amber Lynxx), the group includes childhood friends Mikael Johansson (ex-Magasin 99, Free Alloy) and Mattias Ingvarson (ex-Poker), alongside bassist Johan Wallerstedt (Fornfela, among others) and drummer Anton Roos (ex-Seventh Crystal, ex-Saffire). Together they create a sound as emotional as it is powerful.

The single is taken from their upcoming debut album Trial By Fire, produced and mixed by Victor Olsson (Saffire, Gathering Of Kings) and mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Thomas “Plec” Johansson (Nestor, The Night Flight Orchestra, Perfect Plan, The Gems, Soilwork, Evergrey, among others). While many Swedish artists have sung about Gothenburg, Peterified shine their light on Mölndal, the band’s hometown just south of the city, turning its neighborhoods, waterfalls, and lakeside hangouts into the vivid emotional backdrop of their music.
