Singer-songwriter and guitarist Chantel McGregor releases her deeply moving new album The Healing — her most personal and soul-searching record to date. Alongside the album, Chantel also shares a raw and emotional video for one of its standout tracks, “I Will Breathe.”

Speaking about the album, Chantel says: "I'm incredibly proud of my new album 'The Healing'. It’s the most honest and personal work I’ve ever created — a journey through pain, growth, and ultimately finding peace. Each song holds something honest and real that I’ve lived through, and I can't wait for people to connect with it in their own way.”

Although songs like “I Will Breathe”, “Tears”, “Stand On My Own”, and “Echoes” share common emotional threads, Chantel is clear that The Healing isn’t a concept album.

“It’s not just about sadness,” she says. “It’s about coming through the darkness. There’s light and strength here too —the kind you only discover when you’ve had to fight your way back to the surface.”

On “I Will Breathe”, she reflects: "'I Will Breathe' is one of the more personal songs on The Healing. It came from a place of emotional exhaustion, feeling lost, buried under fear and regret, but still holding on to the hope that I could rise through it. Writing it was very cathartic. It’s about survival, release, and the quiet strength it takes to keep going.”

The response to The Healing has been overwhelming. Music Press are already hailing it as a standout release of the year. Music- News gave the album a glowing 5/5, calling it “one of the most satisfying albums I’ve heard this year.” Get Ready To Rock say “In the Healing, we have a bona fide candidate for Album of the Year.” Rushonrock wrote that “McGregor has rarely sounded better,” and Musipedia of Metal simply put it: “It’s safe to say I’m hooked.”

To mark the release, Chantel and her band kick off a UK tour tonight with a special album launch show at London’s iconic 100 Club.
