Lets Dive Deeper!
"In retrospect, as soon as Bon Jovi hit the stratosphere and all the major labels started an unseemly scramble for their own carbon copy version, it was only a matter of time before the quality nose-dived, and their attention span wandered off in search of something else big and shiny. A lot of good bands did get signed in the late 80s, as well as a lot of crap, but most never got anywhere near breaking even, let alone becoming viable commodities. I remember singling Silent Rage out as a band to watch when I first heard this, the opening track on their Chameleon Records debut album -'Shattered Hearts' - in late '87. It was brash, loud, larger than life and had a hook to die for, and at the time, it seemed to sum up the scene perfectly. Still on my playlist to this day.)"
