Isla De Muerta is the twelfth studio album by English melodic hard rockers Ten, released in May 2015 on Rocktopia Records. Named after the mythical Island of the Dead from pirate legend, it's a bold, thematic record that finds Gary Hughes and his bandmates firing on all cylinders.
The album touches on just about everything Ten are known for — Hughes' warm, powerful vocals, pomp-flavoured hard rock tunes running the gamut from simple to epic, and a sure-handed knowledge of where the band's strengths lie. The sound is massive, mixing a triple powerhouse guitar attack with a rich keyboard presence, all brought together by the immaculate mixing of Dennis Ward.
