Few melodic hard rock fans will have forgotten the impact of Blue Tears' self-titled 1990 debut album, blending the hook-laden energy of Bon Jovi with the polished melodic power of Def Leppard and the joyous abandon of Danger Danger, the band seemed destined for far greater recognition than fate ultimately allowed.
Blue Tears were an American hard rock band from Henderson, Tennessee, whose commercial momentum was ultimately derailed by the wave of alternative and grunge music that swept the early nineties. They would never play a live show in Europe — until one night in November 2005.
Recorded at Firefest II in Nottingham on 26th November 2005, Live In The UK captures frontman Gregg Fulkerson and the band delivering a passionate, high-energy set that perfectly captures both the excitement and emotional significance of the occasion. Alongside beloved Blue Tears favourites, the set also includes two tracks from Gregg's side project Attraction 65, including the ultra-rare Japanese-only bonus cut One Step Over The Line, a genuine treasure for long-time fans and collectors alike.
There is an undeniable bittersweet quality to the experience: knowing Gregg Fulkerson's tragic fate only adds further emotional weight to a performance already overflowing with heart and passion. Fulkerson passed away on 14th April 2009, aged 44. Mixed and mastered by Tommy Denander, executive produced by Bruce Mee, and released on Pride & Joy Music in 2026. Strictly limited to 200 copies.
