LONELY 2
Danish progressive rock duo Lonely 2 will release their new single Against The Current on 21 August 2026.
Written, recorded and produced independently in the band’s private studio, Against The Current blends melodic progressive rock with cinematic atmospheres, expressive female vocals and soaring guitar melodies. The song explores resilience, identity and the courage to stay true to yourself when life pulls you in another direction.
Consisting of guitarist, songwriter and producer Kim Nielsen and vocalist Cæcilie Gro Hansen, Lonely 2 has developed a distinctive father-and-daughter collaboration that combines emotional songwriting with modern progressive rock production. Since forming in 2020, the duo has built its sound independently through continuous writing, recording and production.
With Against The Current, Lonely 2 continues to develop its musical identity, balancing memorable melodies, dynamic arrangements and atmospheric soundscapes while remaining rooted in the storytelling traditions of progressive rock.
The single marks the beginning of the band’s next chapter as they continue preparing new material and their first live performances planned for late 2026.
