Following the momentum of his first two singles, the title track On My Own and One Life, Laurence Jones returns with his third single, the aptly titled “Get Back Up,” accompanied by a new lyric video.

The track offers another window into Jones’ most intimate project yet: his first-ever solo acoustic album, On My Own, arriving January 23rd, 2026. The record marks a return to his earliest influences while delving into themes shaped by his ongoing experience living with Crohn’s Disease. Celebrated for his resilience and artistry, Blues Rock Review notes that “Laurence Jones is an inspiration to many” and Blues In Britian say “There are obviously a lot of singer-songwriters who record and perform acoustically, however there’s not that many as technically accomplished as Laurence Jones”

“Get back up came to me in a time of need” Laurence shares “I needed something to literally pick me back up. I kept moving one step forwards and two steps back and this is what this song is all about. It’s about determination, grit and the fight in you to get back up, if that’s picking yourself up off the floor when you are ill or mentally saying to yourself you got this. I’ve felt that mindset helps as part of my healing journey. I wanted the music to have that swagger and backbeat you can feel almost like a pulse. This was one of my favourite songs to record as I love the A cappella vocals at the end of the song. It was something I wanted to do for a long time, and this song gave me the confidence to do just that. I hope you all enjoy the music video. I named my record label after my best friend and Grandad ‘Ron Records’ and we used to always play dominoes together. At the end of the video there’s a photo of my grandad and myself when I was a kid and him first showing me how to play around the kitchen table”

A classically trained guitarist who achieved Grade 8 Distinction at just 18, Jones blends his early musical foundations with the blues sound that helped establish his reputation.

Despite navigating significant health obstacles, he continues to build an impressive career that includes multiple British Blues Awards, more than 50,000 albums sold internationally, and a #1 achievement on the Official UK Jazz & Blues Chart. With On My Own, Jones shifts the spotlight toward raw storytelling and unfiltered emotion through a completely stripped-back approach.

Laurence will take On My Own on the road with his Solo Tour 2026, kicking off January 23rd in London.

The opening act is Amy Eftekhari, a singer-songwriter from Nottingham and life partner of Laurence Jones. Amy is known for her emotional and honest approach to songwriting. Her music combines vulnerability with strength and authenticity. On her debut EP, "All the Words," Amy Eftekhari naturally brings these qualities together.
