Three people in leather jackets posing on stairs in a dim, industrial setting. One has red hair; the mood is edgy and intense.

Dark, emotionally charged alt-rock trio Diamond Black unveil their long-awaited EP, Dark Anthems, via their own Shadow Cast label. The six-track release fuses cinematic darkness with anthemic hooks and unflinching honesty, featuring Chris Harms (Lord of the Lost) and Chloe Ozwell (Sister Shotgun), as well as a remix by The Birthday Massacre.

At its heart, Dark Anthems is a journey through struggle, hope, and redemption. Across six tracks—including the previously unreleased power ballad A Secret—the band explores addiction, anxiety, and recovery, transforming pain into power through soaring melodies and haunting atmosphere.

Frontman Ben Christo—also known for his work with gothic rock legends The Sisters of Mercy—describes the release as “our most personal and unguarded work yet.” He explains:

“Each track confronts struggle with brutal honesty, but every lyric ultimately points toward hope and healing. It’s about finding light through the darkness, and we want that message to resonate in every song and every show.”

Diamond Black’s emotional intensity is amplified by Adam Hart (bass/visuals), whose playing and compelling artwork, videos, and merch extend the music’s emotional narrative, and Vincent Velazco (Gus G, Pendragon) on drums, bringing dynamic fire and precision to the band’s cinematic sound.

Having independently released eight singles to critical acclaim, Diamond Black has earned praise from The Mission, Therapy?, and The Birthday Massacre, while building a global fanbase through authentic engagement. Their thriving podcast, Discord, and video content provide a space for fans seeking inspiration, connection, and support.
