Brave Rival today release ‘Control’ this second single from the award-winning band is their heaviest song yet. An angry, fast, and explosive song about taking back control from a failed relationship. Fast tempo and a huge breakdown with thrilling vocals give this song an Evanescence edge.

“’Control’ started as a riff in a hotel room just as we were meant to be leaving” says guitarist Ed ‘the Shred’ Clarke . “The idea weirdly sparked from Billy humming a completely different tune, but inspiration struck, and I had to get my guitar out to quickly record what was in my head!” -

Lead vocalist Linsey Bonnick adds “Lyrically, it's probably my angriest song. And there have been a few now! It’s coming from a place of a failed relationship and a recognition that I needed to take back control of my life”

The new EP named 5 to 4 will be the band’s first release as a four-piece. Produced by Tarrant Shepherd and recorded at Mayfair Studio, Churt, as well as Global Fire Studios in Fareham, the sessions were professionally filmed for a stunning series of music videos. Each track has also been mixed in immersive Dolby Atmos, creating an incredible fusion of visuals and sound that offers fans a truly unforgettable experience.

Drummer Donna Peters says “To me, this EP is Brave Rival at our core, all the fire, the emotion, and that spark we get when the four of us lock in together. It’s the start of a new chapter for us and we cannot wait to take people on the journey"

Bassist Billy ‘Danger’ Dedman comments "There are moments that hit you with big riffs and others that strip everything down to something really raw and honest. That balance is what 5 to 4 is all about. We’ve put everything into these songs. It’s a mix of our blues-rock roots with something fresh and forward-looking, and I think that passion really comes through."

5 to 4 will be released Fri 17th Oct on CD, Vinyl (in four limited edition colour variants), and Digital Download
