Swedish hard rock band Black Blood Sthlm release “I Know You Believe”, the third single taken from their upcoming self-titled EP, set for digital release on September 18, 2026. After “In the Wind” and “Holy Man”, the band now unveil the final single before the full EP arrives. “I Know You Believe” shows another side of Black Blood Sthlm, leaning into a more melodic hard rock direction while keeping the band’s roots firmly connected to classic songwriting, real performances and a sound built around musicians playing together with purpose.

🔥 FIREWORKS INSIGHT

For anyone who still believes great hard rock starts with guitars, a strong vocal and a chorus worth shouting along to, Black Blood Sthlm are a band worth watching. “I Know You Believe” taps into the melodic hard rock tradition that made bands such as Whitesnake so enduring, but the appeal lies in hearing younger musicians use those familiar ingredients without turning the track into a retro exercise. With two contrasting singles already released, this third offering gives fans another reason to investigate. The real test now comes with the EP: can Black Blood Sthlm turn these promising foundations into a sound that genuinely belongs to them?

The song carries the kind of Melodic Hard Rock touch that may bring to mind the class and emotional drive of Whitesnake, while still remaining true to the identity Black Blood Sthlm have started to define across these first releases. It is not about copying a period or recreating a formula, but about using that language naturally: guitars, voice, rhythm section and songcraft working as one.

Black Blood Sthlm were formed by four musicians who have lived through different chapters of the Scandinavian rock and metal scene from the inside. The band’s roots reach back to 1970s hard rock, but their approach is direct and song-focused rather than nostalgic. Their sound is built around clear arrangements, guitars at the center, a distinctive voice and a rhythm section that gives the music shape and movement.

The band features Matti Alfonzetti on vocals, one of Sweden’s most respected rock singers, known for his work with Jagged Edge, Bam Bam Boys and Skintrade. On guitar, Stefan Bergström brings his long-standing experience from Skintrade, as well as collaborations with Baltimoore, Zinny Zan and Martina Edoff. Behind the drums is Johan Kullberg, whose career includes Lion’s Share, Zan Clan, Therion and session work with HammerFall during extensive world tours. Completing the line-up is bassist/vocalist Jarmo Lindell, an experienced musician who has worked with Cloud Circus, Andreas Johnson and has also released material as a solo artist.

Following the debut single “Avalon”, the upcoming EP marks the band’s first more complete release and brings their direction into sharper focus. With “I Know You Believe”, Black Blood Sthlm close the run of singles leading up to the EP and offer one last preview of a project built on chemistry, experience and a shared view of what hard rock can still be when the song comes first.
