Celebrated British guitarist and singer songwriter, Ben Poole, is pleased to announce the release of his new album Post-Midnight Behaviour. The album is released worldwide by Gypsy Soul Records and is available on CD and vinyl HERE, and digital HERE.
To celebrate the album release, Ben has released the lead single “Runaway Souls” featuring Elles Bailey. The single is accompanied by an official music video that can be viewed below.

Ben Poole’s return carries extra weight because Post-Midnight Behaviour is his first studio album of new material in eight years, following 2018’s Anytime You Need Me. In that time, relentless touring and several live releases have kept his guitar playing at the centre of his career, but this record suggests a broader ambition. Poole has always had the technique; the more interesting development is his increasing emphasis on songwriting, atmosphere and restraint. “Runaway Souls” is a telling choice, pairing him with Elles Bailey and placing his guitar within a more expansive arrangement. For blues-rock fans, the question is how successfully that wider palette reshapes an established player without diluting what brought audiences to him in the first place.
Pushing boldly beyond familiar blues-rock territory, Ben unveils a richer, more atmospheric sound, where late-night grooves, subtle rock dynamics, and sky-bright hooks collide with effortless confidence. “I wanted Post-Midnight Behaviour to capture how far I’ve come as a guitarist, singer, and songwriter,” says Poole. “After years of playing more than 150 shows annually across over 20 countries, everything has grown — my guitar style, technique, and voice, and how I hear music. The album is the sound of all those experiences coming together. It moves through Blues, Rock, Soul, Country, and Alternative Rock, but with a darker, late-night energy running through it. I still get to unleash the guitar, but this time it sits inside something more atmospheric and reflective, and more emotionally charged. That after-hours mood inspired the album title.”

“In recent years I’ve released a few live albums, which are great snapshots of a specific moment in time,” adds Poole. “With this new album, I took my time to make sure every detail was fully realised — the songs, the sounds, the arrangements, the performances, everything. My writing team and I pushed ourselves harder than ever, digging deep to make the songwriting as strong, sharp, and emotionally powerful as it could be. Listeners are going to feel that energy the moment they hear it. It has been well worth the wait.”
