GREEN DAY - WAKE ME UP WHEN SEPTEMBER ENDS

Pete says: "Have you ever had that annoying issue of trying to find out who sang a song? That's what happened to me with this epic from Green Day. I must have heard it about five times in one day, but couldn't find out who was behind it (I was shopping at the time and every shop had it on), thankfully I was able to sing (screech) it to the assistant at HMV and she (through fits of giggles) recognised it and the mystery was solved! Not only is it a superb song, in lyrics and tune, but Billie Joe Armstrong delivers it in such a haunting way, making it such a stand-out track."

From the album

Hooded skeleton with a scythe leaning over a fallen warrior in a dark forest, under the text "Grim Reaper." Ominous, eerie atmosphere.
