Dave says: "Of all the high profile, high selling records of the 1980s (and let's be honest, there were quite a few of them), unlike the decade before there were only a handful that could really be said to be game changers. For me 'Operation: Mindcrime' was perhaps the biggest of them all and this song epitomises what they achieved to perfection. Undeniably Metal, yet catchier than most AOR bands could ever hope to achieve in a dozen lifetimes, the blend of muscle, melody and technical ability changed the dynamic of the scene forever and was instrumental in launching the behemoth we know today as Progressive Metal.'
