Dave says: "I can't think of many (if any) albums that have been as influential on what was then a nascent Progressive Metal scene as Dream Theater's 'Images And Words'. Along with Queensrÿche and Fates Warning, they formed the 'holy triumvirate' of bands who fused the technical prowess of Prog in its 70s heyday with the searing Metal of the 80s, and the results were just stunning! I could've picked any of the tracks that make up this hour long masterpiece, but this quieter moment of reflection with it's humongous hooks and haunting melodies perfectly marries the best of everything in one delicious bite-sized chunk."
