SILENT RAGE - RICH, YOUNG & PRETTY
Dave says: "In retrospect, as soon as Bon Jovi hit the stratosphere and all the major labels started an unseemly scramble for their own carbon copy version, it was only a matter of time before the quality nose-dived and their attention span wandered off in search of something else big and shiny. A lot of good bands did get signed in the late 80s, as well as a lot of crap, but most never got anywhere near breaking even, let alone becoming viable commodities. I remember singling Silent Rage out as a band to watch when I first heard this, the opening track on their Chameleon Records debut album -'Shattered Hearts' - in late '87. It was brash, loud, larger than life and had a hook to die for, and at the time, it seemed to sum up the scene perfectly. Still on my playlist to this day.)"
